I'd hold fire on the usb 2 caddy, or try before you buy if you can because PS2 is only USB 1.0 (or 1.1, can't remember). No more crappy load times for games either. The only requirement being a PS1 game to have in the CD tray. With a bit of tomfoolery you can have a free version of HDadvance running from your memory card, and all games running from the HD.
